Multi-company administrator (MCA)

The multi-company administrator (MCA) role exists for people who need to manage or monitor activity across more than one client organisation from a single login. This is typically used in managed-service programmes or enterprise deployments where one person oversees several companies.

What MCAs can do that company admins can't

AreaWhat the MCA sees
Companies listA consolidated list of all companies they've been assigned to, with drill-down into each
Assessments & templatesCan copy or deploy assessments and templates from one company to another (where the product allows)
DashboardA combined view of candidate activity and metrics rolled up across all companies in their portfolio

MCAs only see the companies they've been explicitly assigned to. A Skilladder Platform admin controls those assignments via the Portfolio access tool.

When to explain MCA to a customer

Highlight that MCA saves time for managed service partners who would otherwise log in and out of multiple separate company accounts just to check activity or deploy content.

Important limits

  • Exports follow the same permissions as any other role — MCA access doesn't automatically grant the ability to export.
  • Adding new companies to the portfolio requires a Skilladder admin, not a self-serve action for the MCA user.
  • Demo data in staging environments often has inconsistent numbers across date ranges — use verified test accounts when demonstrating MCA dashboards to customers.
