Companies & portfolio stewardship
The Companies section is only visible to MCA users and Platform admins. Standard company administrators do not have access to it — they only ever see and manage their own organisation.
What you can do here
| Action | Who can do it |
|---|---|
| View the list of companies in the portfolio | MCA, Platform admin |
| Open a company's detail view | MCA (for assigned companies), Platform admin |
| Add a new company | Platform admin (and MCA users in some configurations) |
| See assessments and templates tied to a specific company | MCA, Platform admin |
How it works
The Companies section gives portfolio operators a single place to navigate across all the organisations they manage. Clicking into any company shows its assessments, templates, and key metadata without switching accounts.
Adding new companies is typically a Skilladder Platform admin task and may involve steps beyond clicking "Add company." If a managed-service programme needs a new subsidiary created, coordinate with the Skilladder team.
Common CS question
"Why can't my client see the Companies section?"
The Companies list is only for users who manage multiple organisations. A regular company admin only needs access to their own company — that's what Account Settings handles. If a company admin needs multi-company visibility, they need MCA access, which is a separate account configuration, not a self-serve change.
