Preview an assessment (authenticated)
Goal: Review an assessment from the inside — the way a signed-in builder sees it — before sharing it with candidates.
Who can do this: Anyone who can open the assessment builder for that assessment (company admins, Platform admins, Directory admins, and staff with appropriate permissions). Candidate and Talent roles cannot use this preview — they use invite links instead.
Before you start
- You must be signed in with a role that has access to the assessment.
- This is a private, authenticated preview. For a shareable link that external stakeholders can open without a Skilladder account, see Create a public preview link.
Steps
- Open the assessment at
/assessments/[assessment-id]. - Click the Preview button or link in the assessment's action area.
- The preview loads mirroring the live delivery experience — timers and tab-switch policies may be active depending on the assessment settings.
- Review the questions, instructions, and flow.
- Click Close or use your browser back button to exit and return to the assessment builder.
