Portfolio access assignments (Platform admins)

Goal: Control which companies each MCA user can see and manage in their portfolio view.

Who can do this: Platform administrators only. This page is not visible to other roles.

Before you start

  • Use this page whenever an MCA user needs to be added to or removed from specific companies — for a new hire, a contract change, or an incident response.
  • Changes take effect after the MCA user does a hard refresh or signs back in.

Steps

  1. Go to Portfolio access in the sidebar (this link only appears for Platform admins).
  2. Select the user from the dropdown — you'll see each person's name and role.
  3. Review the checkbox grid of companies.
    • Tick a company to grant the user access to it.
    • Untick to remove access.
    • Some users may have their primary company automatically included — check the helper text on the page.
  4. Click Save and wait for the confirmation.
  5. Ask the user to hard refresh or sign out and back in if their portfolio list looks stale.

When to use this

  • A new MCA hire needs access to a subset of subsidiaries
  • A customer contract expands or shrinks the permitted companies
  • Incident response: an MCA user was over-provisioned and needs access removed
