Participant — accepting a team invite
Goal: Help a new colleague set up their Skilladder account after receiving a team invite.
This guide is for someone who has been added to a company by their administrator and received an invite email.
Before you start
- The invite email contains a unique link that expires. Check the email for a deadline and act before it lapses.
- If the invite has already expired, ask the administrator to resend it from Team invites & permissions.
Steps
- Open the invite link from the email.
- The page shows your company name and who invited you — confirming this is the right invite.
- Create a password for your new account (must meet the minimum length shown on screen), then click Submit.
- You're taken to the sign-in page. Sign in with the email the invite was sent to and the password you just created.
Common problems and fixes

| The link shows an error or says it's invalid | Ask your administrator to resend the invite from the Team tab |
| You're already signed into a different Skilladder account | Sign out of the current session, then reopen the original invite link |
| Corporate SSO adds an extra step | Follow the on-screen prompts from your company's identity provider — this is expected |
What happens next
Once signed in, you land on the Skilladder home screen. Your sidebar shows the pages your administrator has granted you access to. If something you expect is missing, ask your administrator to review your permissions via Team invites & permissions.
