Participant — partner assessment
Goal: Help a candidate complete an assessment accessed through a partner platform (such as a partner LMS or employer portal) rather than directly through Skilladder.
Before you start
- The candidate needs the full URL from their partner platform or email. The URL includes required access tokens — do not trim or modify it.
- If the assessment is embedded in an iframe (inside another website), the browser needs to allow storage access. Safari users are frequently prompted for this.
Steps
- Open the full URL exactly as provided by the partner platform or email.
- If you see a storage permission prompt (common in Safari and in iframes), grant the permission to continue.
- Authenticate as instructed on screen — this may use a Skilladder account or a federated identity from the partner platform.
- Complete the assessment following the on-screen instructions.
- On completion, you may be redirected back to the partner platform — this is expected behaviour.
Troubleshooting
| Problem | What to check |
|---|---|
| Blank screen or empty frame | Storage is blocked by the browser. Try opening the URL in a new tab as a standalone page (not in an iframe), or try a different browser |
| Token invalid or access denied | The link has expired or the token is invalid — ask the partner to generate a fresh access link |
| Assessment is not available (access denied on load) | The assessment has been set to DRAFT by the program manager. Partner links are blocked for draft assessments — the candidate cannot access them until the assessment is published to LIVE |
