Account Settings — Profile (& Email Providers for platform)

Profile tab

Use this when a teammate wants to update their own Skilladder identity fields surfaced on cards in Account Settings.

Prerequisites

  • Signed in at your Skilladder web app URL.
  • Talent/participants: Profile editing behaves according to product rollout—assume admins configure SSO/password resets centrally if unsure.

Steps

  1. Click your avatar / user menu in the top header.
  2. Choose Account Settings (/account-settings).
  3. Stay on the default Profile tab (tabs may read Profile, Team, optionally Email Providers).
  4. Adjust fields shown on UserMetaCard / UserInfoCard (name, avatar slot if present, contact fields—trust on-screen labels).
  5. Save if a save button is visible; otherwise changes may autosave depending on component—watch for success or error toasts.

If something fails

  • Session expired → sign in again, return to /account-settings.
  • Missing menu → verify you are not stuck in a participant-only shell; see Capabilities matrix.

Email Providers tab (Platform administrators only)

Prerequisites

  • userRoles.isPlatformAdmin in product terms: only Platform users see this tab.

Steps

  1. Open Account SettingsEmail Providers.
  2. Follow the on-page configuration pattern for outbound email provider records (exact fields depend on rollout).
  3. Save or test using any Test affordance the UI exposes.

Why it lives under Account Settings

It is operator configuration tied to the authenticated platform user’s admin session, not tenant company settings.
